Clarity in Communication believe that everyone has the right to understand and be understood when making life changing decisions.
Our vision is that professional support is accessible to those with mental health illness or learning disability who have difficulty understanding and making informed decisions in all aspects of life.
With a strong fully asset locked Social Enterprise ethos which drives our business and team forward any surplus is re-invested to support our vision. Our director has a non-salaried role in overseeing the strategic development of our service and is a member of the National Appropriate Adult Oversight Group.
Our team of dedicated professionals are all members of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme of which Clarity are now Disclosure Scotland authorised signatories. They bring with them experience from Social Services, Health, Education and Justice, helping those with mental health illness and learning disabilities through stressful and difficult situations.
Since October 2014 while contracted by the three Ayrshire local authorities we have supported approximately 3300 people with mental health illness, learning disability, ADHD, autism, dementia and acquired brain injury. Our average response time is 34 minutes. Clarity provide AA support in Court within Ayrshire supported by the 3 Ayrshire Councils and across Scotland approved by the Legal Aid Board. We have continued to provide a risk assessed Service during the pandemic and are now contracted by the 3 Ayrshire Councils to do so until October 2024.
Our training has been delivered across Scotland to high delegate feedback and is aimed at ensuring competency in providing Appropriate Adult support whilst delivering a practical understanding and learning from the challenges experienced by our team.
